Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.

Interpretation
When we praise for one mercy, we must Notice the many more, with which we have been compassed all our days. Many things had contributed to David's advancement, and he owns the hand of God in them all, to teach us to do likewise.

- Beloved, the eighth and youngest son of Jesse, a citizen of Bethlehem. His father seems to have been a man in humble life. His mother’s name is not recorded. Some think she was the Nahash of 2 Sam. 17:25 .
