It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

James Person
(1. ) The son of Zebedee and Salome; an elder brother of John the apostle. He was one of the twelve. He was by trade a fisherman, in partnership with Peter ( Matt. 20:20 ; 27:56 ).
Joanna Person
Whom Jehovah has graciously given. (1. ) The grandson of Zerubbabel, in the lineage of Christ ( Luke 3:27 ); the same as Hananiah ( 1 Chr. 3:19 ).
Mary Person
Hebrew Miriam. (1. ) The wife of Joseph, the mother of Jesus, called the “Virgin Mary,” though never so designated in Scripture ( Matt. 2:11 ; Acts 1:14 ). Little is known of her personal history.
