The land must be divided among the tribes. It is the will of God that every man should know his own, and not take that which is another's.

Jahaz Place: Trodden down. Modern identification: Khirbet el Medeiyineh.
Kedemoth Place: Beginnings; easternmost, a city of Reuben, assigned to the Levites of the family of Merari ( Josh. 13:18 ). It lay not far north-east of Dibon-gad, east of the Dead Sea. Modern identification: Aleiyan.
Mephaath Place: Biblical settlement. Modern identification: Umm ar Rasas.
