Interpretation
All things are possible to those that believe. When we have faith, that most precious gift of God, we shall be delivered from the spiritual helplessness in which we were born, and from the dominion of sinful habits since formed; we shall be made able to stand upright and walk cheerfully in the ways of the Lord.

- Barnabas Person
- Son of consolation, the surname of Joses, a Levite ( Acts 4:36 ). His name stands first on the list of prophets and teachers of the church at Antioch (13:1). Luke speaks of him as a “good man” (11:24).
- Mercurius People
- The Hermes (i. e., “the speaker”) of the Greeks ( Acts 14:12 ), a heathen God represented as the constant attendant of Jupiter, and the god of eloquence.
