These events seem to have taken place towards the end of David's reign. David fainted, but he did not flee, and God sent help in the time of need.

David Person
Beloved, the eighth and youngest son of Jesse, a citizen of Bethlehem. His father seems to have been a man in humble life. His mother’s name is not recorded. Some think she was the Nahash of 2 Sam. 17:25 .
Jonathan Person
Whom Jehovah gave, the name of fifteen or more persons that are mentioned in Scripture. The chief of these are, (1. ) A Levite descended from Gershom ( Judg. 18:30 ). His history is recorded in 17:7-13 and 18:30.
Shimeah Person
(1. ) One of David’s brothers ( 2 Sam. 13:3 ); same as Shimea (4). (2. ) A Benjamite, a descendant of Gibeon ( 1 Chr. 8:32 ); called also Shimeam (9:38).
