But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Interpretation
It ill becomes any men, but especially men of God, to set their hearts upon the things of this world; men of God should be taken up with the things of God. There must be a conflict with corruption, and temptations, and the powers of darkness.
